Chair massage massage:
Chair massage is a style of seated massage that is short -- 10 to 15 minutes -- and focuses on your back, shoulders and neck . Chair massage is done over clothes and doesn't require any massage oil. For chair massage, you are seated in a special chair with your face resting in a cradle, looking down towards the floor, with supports for your arms. Your back and neck relax while the therapist relieves muscle tension using Swedish massage moves like kneading and compression and tapotement, which don't require oil. You can hire Spa 33 for your corporate party, event or offer chair massage to your employees. CLICK HERE FOR MASSAGES FOR YOUR OFFICE OR EVENT
No two massages are alike. Your massage session will take place in a peaceful room with soothing music to help you relax. Spa 33 also provides flannel sheets and heated tables for your comfort. Your therapist will inquire about any injuries or medical conditions you may have. They may also ask additional questions to gather information that can help improve your overall experience. The massage therapist will then will excuse themselves so that you can disrobe to your level of comfort. You will then get on the table – either face up or face down – under the sheet. During your session, you will be draped (covered) at all times, and only the area being worked on will be exposed. A typical full body session includes your back, arms, legs, feet, hands, head, neck and shoulders. Each massage is customized and trailed to you, anything between full body relaxation massage to therapeutic deep tissue for a specific muscle group. You may request that a therapist spend additional or less time on a specific area. Oil or lotion will used. During the massage, please make sure to communicate with your therapist about the pressure she is applying. If you want more or less pressure, be sure to communicate that—the massage is all about you! When your massage session is complete, the therapist will leave the room so that you can get dressed. Sit up slowly and take your time getting dressed. You can choose between a 30, 60, 90 or 120 minute massage. Go to About the spa team page to choose the therapist that has the pressure and style that is right for you. Over the next few days, you may experience soreness if you requested a deep tissue massage. To alleviate discomfort, drink extra water and apply an ice pack to the area. Let your massage therapist know about the discomfort you experienced and consider requesting less pressure during your next session.
Hot Stone Massage
Slow relaxing Swedish massage with the addition of heated stones. Adding heat to your massage enhances the feeling of deep relaxation & peace. You will undress and lie on a massage table, The therapist will begin to warm up your body using a Swedish massage technique. Then, your therapist will supplement the Swedish massage with hot stones, which are heated in 120-150 F water before the massage begins. these stones should not be painful or hot enough to burn you. But, as always, any discomfort should be immediately communicated to the therapist. A hot stone massage can help with pain relief and reduce stress. Many people also seek out hot stone massage as an ultra-relaxing variation to a regular Swedish. Don’t partake in a hot stone massage if you suffer from diabetes, heart problems, high blood pressure or are pregnant.
Massage therapy during pregnancy is a wonderful choice for prenatal care. It is a healthy way to reduce stress and promote overall wellness. Massage relieves many of the normal discomforts experienced during pregnancy, such as backaches, stiff neck, leg cramps, headaches and edema (or swelling). In addition, massage for pregnant women reduces stress on weight-bearing joints, encourages blood and lymph circulation, helps to relax nervous tension -- which aids in better sleep -- and can help relieve depression or anxiety caused by hormonal changes. Our therapists take extra care to ensure our pregnancy massage clients are comfortable. Sideline positioning with supportive, soft cushions is used to alleviate the extra strain on the lower back and pelvic areas when the pressure of massage techniques are applied. Prenatal Massage is a special type of a massage therapy tailored specifically to the needs of pregnant women and their changing bodies. Many women find that pregnancy massage helps to minimize stress, promote relaxation and help with low back pain.
Reiki is not a massage in the traditional sense, no muscle manipulation, applied pressure or long strokes are involved. The therapist will gently place their hands on various spots of the client's head, front and back of the torso, arms and legs. As the massage therapist moves their hands around to different body locations, they are examining for locations that have tension and built up energy. When an area of tension is located, the therapist's hand will rest there to dissipate the tension and relax the underlying muscle. Reiki can be combined with a traditional massage for spiritual healing.
Aromatherapy Massage is the holistic and therapeutic application of concentrated plant essences (essential oils) that have distinct physiological properties, that can improve the body’s natural functioning and support its healing process, therefore helping to prevent disease, fight infection, relieve stress, enhance health, and increase vitality and general well-being. The oils can also be psychologically powerful, providing both calming or uplifting effects as desired. Aromatherapy helps the nervous system, thereby calming the mind. Following treatment, you will feel relaxed and refreshed, and will be able to face life’s challenges with a renewed sense of balance and confidence.
Unlike traditional Aromatherapy Massage, the AromaTouch Massage Technique utilizes eight specific essential oils and blends to promote relaxation and stress relief, offer immune support, decrease pain and inflammation and elevate mood. Essential oils applied along energy lines and on reflexology points stimulate homeostasis and balance in the body.
Oil consult and scan 10 minutes
We use a scanner (a small, pocket sized tool), that takes all the guesswork out of purchasing the best essential oils and supplements for your body. With a simple scan of this tool, you will receive a personalized report that will give an intelligent recommendation for the essential oil products that will benefit your body. How Does It Work? The short answer is the everything has a unique energy signature that can be read and compared to a catalog of normal body responses. The scanner combines bioimpedance, pressure sensor, temperature, and Bluetooth technologies to generate personalized wellness evaluations. Once a person is scanned, their results are measured against the “biomarker” library. Those “biomarker” numbers are then put into algorithms to see how your results measure up. Once the numbers have been crunched, a personalized set of recommendations will be given. It is quick and painless.
People get facials for different reasons: some people want those horrible blackheads out! Others start taking care of their skin in their 20s to preserve a youthful look. Older people want some help with anti-again regimens. And then there are the people who just want to relax and be pampered. A facial is essentially a multi-step skin treatment that is one of the best ways to take care of your skin. A facial cleanses, exfoliates, and nourishes the skin, promoting a clear, well-hydrated complexion and can help your skin look younger. You also receive advice on the best way to take care of your skin. A facial works best when it is part of an on-going program of skin care. Customized 60-Minute facials include cleansing w/exfoliation, facial massage, extractions, hydrating mask, and moisturizer. Choose from: Anti-aging, Acne-recover, Relaxation, Deep Cleansing or Soothing/Sensitive. Talk to your technician to decide which is best for you. (30-Minute Mini Facial DOES NOT include extractions)

We breathe 21% oxygen, 78% nitrogen, and 1% inert gases. Have a seat and breathe over 90% pure oxygen and aromatherapy from a disposable nasal cannula (nose hose). Our oxygen is produced by oxygen concentrators which take ambient air and separates the nitrogen with a molecular filter. Most of the nitrogen is expelled during this cycle, and the oxygen is concentrated and pushed out of the machine through a tube which is attached one of the sides of the Aromatizes (infusers). Each bottle holds water which humidifies and essential oil aromas which scent the oxygen. When the oxygen concentrator is turned on, the oxygen is forced though the “in port” of the bottle top, bubbles through the water to pick up the scent of the aroma, and the oxygen is forced out of the “out port” of the bottle. The oxygen user connects their nose hose to the clear tubing coming from the “out port” and breathes normally to enjoy the oxygen therapy and the aroma therapy. Spa 33 oxygen bar is strictly for entertainment and not for medical or therapeutic use.
